DAILY’S PLACE TO WELCOME ROB THOMAS IN CONCERT THIS SUMMER

Thomas will be joined by special guest Abby Anderson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Live Nation and Bold Events today announced that Rob Thomas will perform at Daily’s Place on Saturday, July 6 at 7pm. The Grammy Award-winning artist will be joined by special guest Abby Anderson. For 20 years, Thomas has been the frontman and primary composer for Matchbox Twenty, leading the band to multiplatinum success over the course of four albums and a string of No. 1 hits that include “Push,” “3AM,” “Bent,” “If You’re Gone,” and “Unwell.” Thomas’ three solo albums generated the hit singles “Lonely No More,” “This is How A Heart Breaks” and “Someday.”  His new single “One Less Day (Dying Young)” is being released today in advance of his upcoming solo album “Chip Tooth Smile” available April 26.  Thomas previously visited Daily’s Place with Matchbox Twenty during the venue’s inaugural concert season in 2017.  

 

Anderson will be making a return to Daily’s Place after joining Brett Eldredge in Jacksonville in October of 2018. She was named one of CMT's “Next Women of Country” and earned a slot on Pandora's "2018 Country Artists to Watch" list. Signed to Black River Entertainment, the Dallas native’s debut EP, “I'm Good” was highlighted by the single "Make Him Wait.” 

 

Since its grand opening in May 2017, Daily’s Place has become the leading destination for live entertainment and events in Northeast Florida.  Adjacent to TIAA Bank Field, the home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, the state-of-the-art venue encompasses a 5,500-seat covered amphitheater and flex field, which serves as both an indoor team practice facility and public event space.
