WIZ KHALIFA AND RAE SREMMURD TO CO-HEADLINE DAILY'S PLACE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Live Nation and Bold Events today announced that rap and hip hop superstars Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd will co-headline Daily’s Place on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 6 p.m.  The multi-platinum selling artists will be joined in support by Lil Skies.  Tickets for the Dazed & Blazed Summer 2018 Amphitheater Tour go on sale to the general public at www.dailysplace.com beginning on Friday, May 18 at noon.  Jags365 and Daily’s Rewards Members will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, May 17 at 10 a.m.   For complete ticket information, including all presales and ticket prices, please click here. 

Wiz Khalifa continues to be a staple in the rap community with his combination of mellow and party music. He burst onto the scene with mainstream success with the release of his first major label debut, “Rolling Papers” ‎ in 2011, which spawned the hits “Black and Yellow,” “Roll Up” and “No Sleep.” His sophomore studio album, “Blacc Hollywood”, ‎debuted at no. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart and featured the hit single "We Dem Boyz." Khalifa's track,‎ “See You Again,” off the FURIOUS 7 soundtrack, catapulted to the top of the charts, holding the no. 1 spot for 12 consecutive weeks. It continued its success by winning a Critics’ Choice Award and two Billboard Music Awards and earning three Grammy Award nominations and a Golden Globe nomination. Khalifa is preparing to release a new studio album called “Rolling Papers 2,” which will be available everywhere July 13.

Mississippi-bred brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi make up the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd. Their third album “SR3MM” arrives as the follow-up to “SremmLife 2,” a 2016 album offering the multi-platinum No. 1 hit “Black Beatles” (ft. Gucci Mane).  Released in 2015, Rae Sremmurd’s first full-length "SremmLife” debuted at the top of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums charts, in addition to cracking the Top 5 on the Top 200 Albums chart in its first week. SremmLife also scored Rae Sremmurd five platinum-selling singles, including “No Flex Zone” and “No Type.”

Daily’s Place opened in May 2017 adjacent to EverBank Field, the home of the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars.  A partnership between the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville, the state-of-the-art facility’s 5,500-seat amphitheater and indoor practice facility welcomed more than 200,000 attendees to events and concerts in 2017.  The new amphitheater has hosted performances by Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, Zac Brown Band, Diana Ross and Santana.  Details on all concerts coming to Daily’s Place can be found at www.dailysplace.com.
